Finished the bathroom vanity this week. Like most projects I do, the bones came together quickly but I’ve kind of dragged my feet on the final details. Went through a number of design iterations for the top and for the doors. Seriously debated my choice of using a solid wood top for the vanity in the most punishing environment for wood in the house. Top is done with 4 coats of Minwax “Tung Oil” and 9 coats of wipe on poly…hopefully will be enough to preserve it for a few years.
Solid hickory for all the parts that show, birch ply for the unseen bits.
