Router Table top

I needed a router table but my shop is too small…so drawing from what I’ve seen others do on LJ I decided to make use of all the precious room at the end of my fence rails and make a router table that would attach directly to my tablesaw. The table is two 3/4” MDF glued together with laminate on both sides and fir trim. It was my first use of laminate, and my first real attempt at using my router. Let’s just say that the fit of the insert looks better in the pictures than in real life, ie. it was a pain in the arse trying to cut an accurate fit for the insert no matter how carefully I set up the guides for the router. Now the challenge will be attaching it to the rails…from what I’ve seen on LJ’s this is a common challenge. I’m tempted to make a small cabinet to attach the top to which will simply just slide between the rails rather than attach to them.
